DSL-300 ADSL Modem User’s Guide

Summary

Use the Summary screen to view information that can

be useful for troubleshooting. Click the Refresh

hyperlink to update the statistics in the Summary

screen.

For PPP connection types the following information is listed in the Summary screen:

PPP Information

Connection Type

Connection type used for your account, PPPoA, PPPoE, RFC 1483 or IPoA

Encapsulation

Packet encapsulation method used LLC or VC Mux

User Name used to identify your account to the ISP

IP Address

Global IP address for your account

Gateway

Gateway IP address; allows for connection to entire network

Connection Status

This will display “Connected” when the Modem has a valid ADSL connection.

If a connection attempt has failed an error message appears here.

VCI

Virtual Circuit Identifier
