Understanding The Output Log File
The Performance AutoLog Tool automatically logs statistics and events to the ASCII text log file stored in
a user-defined location.
Output Log Frequency
Startup and Hourly Logs
The AutoLog Tool automatically records all statistics at the start of the AutoLog Tool and hourly thereafter,
regardless of the update frequency setting.
Line Status and Call Status Logs
The AutoLog Tool polls the line status and the call status once per second and records any change.
Statistics Logs
The Physical Layer statistics, AAL link statistics, and ATM link statistics update frequency is controlled by
the user from the
Update Frequency
pull-down list on the AutoLog tab of the DSL Control Panel Applet.
During each statistics poll, only those statistics changed since the last poll will be recorded.
File Format
A date and time stamp, in the following format, precedes all entries into the AutoLog log file:
mm/dd/yyyy - hh:mm:ss -

Filenames
Executable Filename
The performance AutoLog Tool program name is "CnxAdslL.exe".
Output Log Filename
The performance AutoLog Tool output default filename is "CnxAdslL.log". The name of the output file is
configurable from the AutoLog tab of the DSL Control Panel Applet.
