You can remove a phone from the Response Point

phone system. You may want to do this if the phone is no longer

working, for example. Removing a phone does not change the settings on the phone itself; however, the base unit will

no longer recognize it, and it must be reconﬁgured if you add it to the phone system again.

If you just want to move a phone to another location, do not remove the phone through Administrator; just unplug it

instead. When the phone is unplugged, the base unit reports that it is no longer responding and ﬂags it on the Phone

System page of Administrator. However, the phone conﬁguration is maintained by the base unit so that when it is

plugged back in, the phone is registered with the base unit as before. No additional conﬁguration is needed.

To remove a phone:

1. Click the Phone System button.

2. In the Tasks panel, click Remove Phone.

3. Click the phone you want to remove, and then click OK.

4. Conﬁrm that you want to remove the phone you selected by clicking Yes in the message box.
